What does Waldorf salad go with?
Waldorf salad goes well with many other dishes. We recommend game or poultry, of course. If you want to eat vegan, you can also eat fried vegetables or grilled corn.

History of the Waldorf salad
The name comes from the fact that the Waldorf salad was first created for a charity ball given in honor of the Marian Hospital for Children on March 14, 1896 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. [4] Oscar Tschirky, the Waldorf’s head waiter who developed or inspired many of its specialties, is widely recognized in creating the recipe. In 1896 the salad appeared in The Cook Book of “Oscar of the Waldorf”.
