Kallesmærsk Hede

In the immediate vicinity of Vejers there is a training area for the Danish army, which is open to the public outside of the maneuvering operations. Every year Oksbøllager in Kallesmærsk Heide invites you to an “Open Heath Day”. In June, Colonel Ole Bering welcomes everyone and opens the event.

Visitors can view equipment and vehicles used by the Danish military, combat demonstrations are shown and museum vehicles are shown. It can even be photographed!

Tip: However, the event should not be attended without hearing protection.

The »Kallesmærsk Hede« separates Vejers Strand and Blåvand. If there are no military exercises here, you can take long walks and enjoy the beauty of the heather, dunes and swamps to the full. The heather is also ideal for long bike rides.

Make sure you find out when maneuvers take place at Kallesmærsk Hede. Under no circumstances should you exceed the barriers during the target practice!

Information about access to the practice area is available on boards on the access roads and under the following telephone number: (0045) 7654 1213
